It first aired on April 14, 1980, as an eclectic music station in Petrópolis before transitioning to a fully evangelical format on July 1, 1987, under new ownership by Francisco Silva. Known as the first FM station in Brazil to broadcast 100% Christian content, it has since become a leading gospel station, now operating on 97.5 FM with studios in Barra da Tijuca, Rio.
