Münchner Kirchenradio, often abbreviated as MKR, delivers spiritual programming to listeners in the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising. Operating from Munich in the United States, the station is managed by Sankt Michaelsbund, a Catholic media organization. Its content focuses on religious news, discussions, and reflections, designed to engage the Christian community in the region. The station broadcasts via DAB+ throughout Upper Bavaria and extends its reach through a 24/7 web stream, accessible on various devices. Since 2017, it has also aired a daily live hour from 1 to 2 p.m. on 92.4 FM in Munich.
The station began its web presence in November 2008, later expanding to DAB+ in 2014, with coverage growing to the entire archdiocese by May 2022.
